On Tuesday, Feb. 12, New Rochelle Police detectives, accompanied by Greenwich Police detectives, arrested Javier DeSilva, of Queens, in New York who had fraudulently used Reyes’ ATM card, said New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa.
Reyes, 24, was found dead on the morning of Feb. 5, just off Glenville Road in Greenwich, said Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry.
She had been previously reported as missing to New Rochelle Police by her family.
Autopsy results from the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are pending.

Multiple crime scenes had been examined, hundreds of hours of surveillance footage had been reviewed, and numerous interviews of potential witnesses had been conducted. Additionally, social media footprints and records from a variety of sources have been analyzed, he added.
“We are confident that the pursuit of justice for Valerie will be successful and we continue to work with the family to provide closure to this tragedy,” Barry said.
